Our MSc programmes build on renowned research expertise in the department. Two integrated modular programmes are available:


The programmes give a strong background in areas of mathematics which are relevant to subsequent employment in a large number of sectors. The courses also enable graduates to pursue research careeers in their chosen theme.

  • Learning is by formal lecture/tutorial, written coursework reports and individual and group project work.

  • Assessment is by written examinations, written reports, dissertation and seminar presentations.
